HR Platform integrations: BambooHR

Set up the BambooHR integration in Engine

Go to Settings and then click on Integrations. 

Select BambooHR and click Connect. You’ll be guided through a process to authorize the integration.

Follow the on-screen prompts

1. Administrator role required: you must be an administrator of BambooHR to link to Engine.

2. How would you like to authenticate?

   • Use your credentials (recommended)

   • Use your API key or access token

3. Review your data permissions

4. Enter your BambooHR subdomain

   • If you sign in at acme.bamboohr.com, enter only ‘acme’

5. Log in to BambooHR: you will be prompted to log in and connect your account

6. Configure your sync preferences

   • Choose whether to send registration emails to imported users

Log into your Engine account

1. Go to Settings and then click on Integrations. 

2. Select your HR platform and click Connect. You’ll be guided through a simple process to authorize the integration. 

3. The data will sync between your HR platform and ours. We’ll invite all employees without an Engine account and update employee data every 24 hours based on changes in the HR platform. 

4. Once connected, you can turn on automatic invites for every new employee added to your company.

5. Departing employees will automatically lose their access.
